My colleague was about to celebrate his birthday. Therefore, I bought a batik shirt as a gift for him. On the day when I bought the batik shirt, I also bought a pair of shoes so I took them out from their box. Then I put my old-rumpled shoes into the box.
When the special day came, I asked my wife to wrap the batik shirt that I had already put into a box with gift-wrapping paper. Because I wanted to take a shower, I let my wife do it alone. When I was in the bathroom, my wife asked me where I had put the batik shirt. I said it was on table.
When every thing was ready, my wife and I went to my colleague's house. There were no special guests there except his close friends, some of whom I knew. After we shook hands, my wife handed the gift to him. With a happy face, my colleague accepted our gift while thanking us. He then opened the package witnessed by his friends including my wife and me.
My jaw dropped to see what were in the box. It was not the batik shirt that he found inside the box but my used-rumpled shoes. I looked at my wife, questioning her in my heart through my eyes 'how come?' I looked at my colleague. He still kept smiling at us but he ccould not hide the blush on his face. I could do nothing except saying sorry and told him that there could be something wrong with it. I then approached my wife and talked to her softly.
"How could you wrap such junk shoes?" I asked my wife curiously.
"I just did as what you said," she replied.
"Where the hell did you take the box from?"
"Well, it was the box that you put on the table, remember?"
"Yes, but wich table?"
"I took the box from the table in our bedroom," she said.
"My God! The box in which I put the batik shirt was not on the table in our bedroom but on the table in my workroom," I said.
I then quickly approached my colleaguemto say that I di not intentionally give him such an abnormal gift. I asked him to hand the gift back to me and I promised to give him the real gift but he refused. He said that it was the best special gift that he had ever ad in his life so he wanted to keep it. Everyone then laughed.

When I was still in university student, I had a girlfriend from Jakarta called Dewi.at that time we loved each other very much and planned to get married as soon as we got a job after graduating from university. However, our dream could not come true because of our parents. Dewi's parents had chosen a rich guy for Dewi to mary. Dewi had tried to persuade her parents to let me marry her, but her parentsmdid not care about her problem. With a broken heart,Dewi and I separated. Nevertheles, Dewi and I still kept in touch very well.
One day five years later, Dewi, who had been working in Jakarta, wanted to come to Yogyakarta where I had worked after finishing university, in relation to the business from her office. Before she came to Yogyakarta, she asked me to pick her up at Tugu Railway Station. Coincidentally, I had a motorbike accident. It was not very serious, but it had caused my glasses to break in pieces and I could not buy a new pair of glasses until Dewi had arrived in Yogyakarta. Therefore, I went to Tugu Railway Station to pick up Dewi without earing any glasses. Consequently, I could not see someone's face very clearly in the distance of seven meters in front of me. However, I was very sure that I could still recognize and see her very well without wearing glasses.
When I got to Tugu Railway Station, the train on which Dewi rode had just arrived. From the place where I was standing I could see a woman get off from the train. Because I nissed Dewi very much, I ran while calling her name quite loudly. To my surprise, she did not react to my loud voice. I thought that it was because of the bustle at the station. Therefore, I kept on running toward her. At the time when I arrived near her, she turned her face to the door of the train to pull her big bag out of the train. After that she stood facing the door. Without waiting for her to move away from the train door and looked atme, I approached her from behind and covered her eyes with my hands. I could feel the girl try to release my hands frome her face and wanted to hug her from behind when I heard someone call my name from the door of the train.
I wanted to make sure who the person was. Therefore, I turned and looked at her qickly. How aghast I was. It was Dewi, and the girl whose eyes I covered with my hands from behind was a complete stranger. Not knowing what to do, I qickly released my hands from the girl who seemed to be quite angry. I bowed and apologized to her with an embarassed face and then I caught Dewi's hand to leave the place. When I told Dewi what had just happened, she roared with laughter.

One Saturday evening my wife and I went to a two-floor electronic shop to buy a radio. There were a lot of buyers in the shop. After looking at the radios displayed in the shop, we decided to buy a small one. I asked my wife to go to the cashier to pay for it.
While my wife was paying for the radio at the cashier, I left the radio on a desk in the shop and then went to the restroom. Having finished answering the call of nature in the toilet, I came back to the place where I had left the radio that we had bought before. I tried to find my wife but she was not there anymore. I thought she had already gone to the second floor and left the radio on the desk. Having this idea in mind, I planned to get out of the shop and waited for my wife in our car. Therefore, I took the radio. I was about to leave the shop when an old woman shouted at me in a loud voice.
"Hi, don't take the radio. It's mine."
I stopped and looked at the woman.
"Are you talking to me?" I asked.
"Absolutely. Who the hell do you think I am talking to?" she replied.
"What's the matter?"
"The radio. The radio you are holding is mine."
"Aha, you must be kidding. This is my radio. I have bought it," I said.
"No, that's mine. I have already paid for it, too", the woman replied.
"I'm very sure this my radio."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
The woman tried to seize the radio from me. She held one part of it and I held the other part too so that we were like two children fighting for a toy.
I tried to find the shop assistant but she was not there. Because our quarrel was getting 'hotter', all of the buyers in the shop came near to us. At this moment, my iife appeared and asked me what was going on. I then told her what happened.
After listening to what I said, my wife approached the old woman and apoloized for my mistake. I was very surprised to what my wife did. Before I further asked her, she told me that she had brought the radio that I did not know what to do. After saying sorry quickly to the woman, I left the shop in a hurry. I wish I could have flown away.

One day I visited my cute and beautiful girlfriend, Santy, in her house. I arrived at her house about 6.30 pm. When I arrived there, Santy had been waiting for me. Santy then warmly welcomed me and asked me to sit in the living room was dim. In the living room there were armchairs and one long sofa with a very small table in the middle.
Sitting face to face in the dim room, Santy and I talked about this and that. The situation was getting more romantic. I remember it was about 9 pm when I wanted to go home. As what we used to do, before I said goodbye to Santy, I always kissed her. Therefore, I got up from my seat and pulled Santy's left hand to make her stand up. After that, I hugged her and started to kiss her forehead. It was in this situation that Santy's father came of nowhere and stood behind us. He coughed loudly and intentionally as if he wanted to wake us up. Both Santy and I quickly extricated ourselves from each other and turned our faces to her father. What we could do was only stooping down in front of him with a flush of embarrassment. If only I had had another pair of eyes behind my head, I would have seen and known that he had been in the dim living room.

One saturday afternoon Dewi, my girlfriend, and I went window shopping to Malioboro Mall. Upon arriving in front of the mall, I parked my car in the basement. Dewi and I then went to the first floor. After that we went to see some clothes on the third floor.
Usually when dewi and I go shopping or window shopping, we walk hand-in-hand, but at that time we did not. On the third floor it was a bit crowded, so Dewi did not walk beside me but behind me. When we arrived at the men's clothes departmen, we stopped. Dewi was not standing near me, then, but we were still able to have a chat. So while browsing through the clothes displayed, I kept on talking quite loudly.
What surprised me was that the more and the louder I talked, the more people looked at me as if I was an alien coming to rob the mall. Idid not know why they kept looking at me and I did not care about that. It seemed that my action made everyone near me think that there was something wrong with my brain. But I did not realize what had been going on with me until I had heard one of them saying, "How can a crazy man come here, in this big mall?"
I did not want to quarrel with the man, so I turned right to leave the place. I stretched my hand to hold Dewi's hand while talking but without looking at her face. When I was about to hold her hand, I heard her saying something that startled me.
"Crazy," said the girl madly, leaving the place quickly.
The word "Crazy" seemed to have woken me up. I look at her and I was aghast. The girl was, in fact, not Dewi but somebody else. By then I knew why the people around me stared at me strangely. It was in this situation that Dewi came back to that place again. Without saying any words, I took Dewi's hand and dragged her to go away in hury. Dewi was surprised but I did not care. When we were a bit far away from the place, I told Dewi what had happened. Hearing what I said, Dewi roared with laughter.
"Poor you, Darling," she said.
I said nothing but Dewi understood how I felt from my facial expression.

I was still in univesity when I fell in love with a girl. The girl and I went to the same faculty but she was from a different department,
. I knew her because one of my classmates who happened to be her roommate in a boarding house introduced her to me a few days before.
One day Ireally wanted to meet her so I went to her boarding house. As soon as I got to her boarding, I opened the big gate of the house and walked across the yard towards the front door. I was just about to step my right foot to the verandah when suddenly a fierce dog appeared from the left side of the house. Looking at me in the eye, the dog growled and then in the next second it jumped towards me with its wide-opened mouth.
Although I was shocked and afraid, I could still jump back to avoid it and then ran as fast as I could to the gate again. However, the dog seemed to run much faster than I did. So when I was trying to open the gate to get out of the yard, the dog was exactly behind me. It was not my day. The dog, which did not want to lose its 'prey', quickly bit my buttocks.
I was so busy trying to escape from the dog that I did not know what had happened to my buttocks. When the dog was trying to do the next action, my classmate came out of the front door and shouted at the dog. At the same time, I succeeded in jumping over the gate. My classmate then chased the dog away and came back to see me. After the evil dog disapaeared, I entered into the yard again and talked to my classmate. I did not want her to know the 'war' bet ween me and the evil dog so I quickly asked, "Is Tanty home?"
"Yes," she said, "Do you want me to call her?"
"Yes, if you don't mind," I said.
A few minutes later Tanty came out with her wonderful smile that could cool down my anger with the dog. As soon as Tanty arrived in the room, my classmate left us. Tanty did not know anything about my fight with the crazy dog. Tanty and I then talked about this and that. One hour later, I had to leave. I also wanted to say goodbye to my classmate so I asked Tanty to call her. After my classmate came to the living room, i stood up and shook hand with them, sayin goodbye. It was after I turned to the door that my classmate and Tanty started to roar with laughter. I turned back to them and asked, "What's the matter?"
they did not answer my question but kept laughing while covering their mouths withtheir hands. My classmate then pointed at my buttocks. I moved my left hand and tried to find out what had happened to my buttocks.
My Goodness! In fact, the back part of my trousers was badly torn out. I was so embarrassed that I quickly moved the lower part of my T-shirt that I inserted in my trousers to cover the hole. With an embarrassed feeling I smiled, and then I quickly said goodbye and got out from their boarding house.
Now tanty becomes my wife. Whenever I ask her about the dog 'incident', she just smiles.

Jodoh memang ditangan Tuhan, tapi kalo nggak dijemput, ya ditangan Tuhan terus. Kita kan nggak tahu jodoh kita siapa, maka berusahalah menjemput yg terbaik.
Khadijah tak tahu kalo jodohnya adalah Muhammad. Yg ia tahu, Muhammad adalah jodoh yg diidamkannya, maka ia pun menjemput jodohnya dg mengungkapkan cintanya.
Menanti jodoh, rezeki, kematian, bukan dg diam pasrah menunggu. Nantilah dg berperilaku yg baik, berperasangka yg baik, dan memohon yg baik. Tuhan hanya menjodohkan manusia dg orang yg tepat baginya.
Jodoh di Tangan Tuhan ???
